Frequently Asked Questions

The Program

Is this program open to non-Asians?
Of course! You should have at least a bit of interest in Asian culture, otherwise why else would you want to join? Feel free to ask about membership registration, and attend any events you'd like!
Is this program really free?
Yes! We want to make this accessible to literally everyone, so membership will be completely free and no membership dues will be imposed. What have you got to lose?
How are you going to get free Grace's Bubble Tea?
We are hoping to work a deal out with Grace's. Because each free bubble tea requires purchase of a meal, hopefully Grace will see that it will be worth it for the business.
Why not expand discounts to non-Asians venues, such as Armadillo Grill or McDonald's?
We ARE the ASIAN Students Association, so we'd like to keep our redeemables within the realm of Asian culture. If we were to expand to other places, this would become more gimmicky, especially to non-Asians.
Do ASAPs carry over to next year?
The plan right now is that points will not carry over year-to-year. This would be unfair to the new members (e.g. incoming freshmen).

The Website

Why do you need my NetID?
This is the simplest way to get Duke students to sign-up. It's a username that everyone already has memorized, and can be used to send emails. Don't worry, we won't try to hack your account. Passwords are stored as encrypted MD5 hashes, and cannot be retrieved even if you wanted to.
I can't activate my account!
Go to the login screen and type in your NetID and password to get a link to resend the confirmation email. If you still can't activate, notify an admin and you will be manually activated.
How do I change my password?
On the menu bar, click on "View Information," then "Edit," then "Change Your Password."
How do I change my e-mail address or NetID?
You have to put in a request to change this. Please contact an administrator.
